Passing on Values
Effective and fruitful ministry simply means, what we learn from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we pass it on, be channels of God’s blessing to others.
Our journey of faith with Jesus, important values and practices we learned from our Lord and Master we impart and share, we release Christ-centered values back to our believers communities and also the general society and public we are co-existing together in a shared space …
(Acts 3:6) – But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”
Peter passed on what he learned from Jesus
Peter was a fisherman when He met Jesus.
After the death and resurrection of Jesus, and after His ascension back to heaven, Peter never went back fishing.
Peter learned Jesus is the living word of God and is the source of eternal life.
Peter became a champion of preaching Jesus, even till his execution by the Roman Emperor Nero.
(Acts 11:25-26) – So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.
Barnabas and Paul pass on what they learned from Jesus and the apostles to the believers’ communities.
Paul himself being an Apostle appointed of Jesus and having witness Jesus in person in His resurrected form, was instrumental in raising mature sons and daughters of God, in fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Christ-centered values, ways and practices of righteousness approved of God was constantly under attack and challenged by worldly views reflected in cultures and social norms. Our best defense is in consistent committed discipleship and education that will help us stand firm in full agreement with the teachings and commandments of Jesus and to be faithful witness of His truth.
(John 14: 6) – Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
There is salvation in none other except Jesus.
That same Jesus of Nazareth who was crucified on the cross by order of Pontius Pilate, died on the cross in the public witness of many, was buried of Joseph of Arimathea in his own tomb, and on the third day resurrected from the dead and witnessed of His apostles and disciples in His resurrected form.
This same Jesus is God’s appointed Messiah to save Man from sins and death.
The same Jesus who was born through the virgin-birth of Mary, of the seed of Abraham and of the house of David, who went through water-baptism under John the Baptist and preached repentance for the kingdom of God.
The same Jesus who was betrayed and crucified on the cross rose from the dead by the power and authority of God to resurrect the dead, and never to die again.
This same Jesus is our source of eternal life and salvation.
This same Jesus who will return to Earth in person to judge the world.
(2 Timothy 2:2) – and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
Values and practices we have learned from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we pass it on, from one generation to the next till Jesus return
The is the will of God for every born-again Christians, every house fellowship, and every local church.
We are living witness and testimonies of His truth and faithfulness.
We are saved by His grace through faith.
(Romans 14:8) – For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.
