How do I explain the kind of Christian ministry work I am involved in?
Impartations and passing on of values are part and parcel of discipleship.
Basic Christian ministry simply means, what we learn from Jesus ourselves we pass it on.
Our experience, our journey of faith with Jesus, contains within us important values and practices to be imparted, expressed and shared.
But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” (Acts 3:6)
Peter pass on what he learned from Jesus.
So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians. (Acts 11:25-26)
Barnabas and Paul pass on what they learned from Jesus.
An important characteristic of Christian fellowship is shared values.
and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. (2 Timothy 2:2)
Values and practices we have learned from Jesus, we pass it on.
In every place and opportunity where Jesus have granted, I have been able to do basic Christian ministry, passing on of values which are part and parcel of discipleship.
What I myself learned from my Master, I pass it on.
I do occasional and seasonal teaching, discussion groups.
